Frequently Asked Questions
WHAT STYLE OF WORSHIP SERVICE DO YOU HAVE?
We have a traditional service with a blend of hymns and choruses. Our service is conducted in a friendly atmosphere that includes humor and a meaningful study of God's Word. Through our worship experience we help people feel they are part of a family.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
We're more concerned with making you welcome than with what you look like! We don’t have a dress code. Some people like to dress up for church services, while others come and worship in casual attire. Come as you are!
HOW OFTEN DO YOU CELEBRATE COMMUNION?
We celebrate communion on the first Sunday of each month.
WHAT DO YOU BELIEVE ABOUT COMMUNION?
In Holy Communion, we remember and proclaim God's saving work through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We are reminded again of the gifts of God's grace and forgiveness given to each of us. In communion, we celebrate what God is doing among us and in us. In the Methodist Church, Holy Communion is open to all personas. You do not have to be a member to participate.
DO YOU HAVE SUNDAY SCHOOL?
We have Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. each Sunday for Kindergarten thru 6th grade. Preschool children have Sunday School during the morning worship service. Wednesday nights at 7:30 p.m. we have youth group for grades 7-12.
HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER?
Anyone interested in becoming a member should contact the pastor. There will be three membership classes to attend. Upon completion of the classes and you have been presented to the Administrative Council for approval. Membership vows will be during a Sunday Morning worship service. Letters of transfer from other Methodist Churches will be warmly received.
