PRESCHOOL (During the church service most Sundays if a teacher is available)
Preschool age children are welcome to join us in the classroom just down the hall from the church lobby. We generally head downstairs after the offering is taken, before the sermon begins. Your kids can join us for playtime or participate in a fun mini lesson, and enjoy a snack.
SUNDAY SCHOOL 9:30AM (September - May)
We offer classes for all ages, ranging from preschool through high school.
We have one large class of kids ranging from Kindergarten through 6th grade. We meet Sunday mornings at 9:30am, throughout the school year, in the chapel area just off of the lobby of the church. Each session is 60 minutes, and includes a time of worship with a Bible story, songs, a main point, games, prayer, and much more! We also work hard to put on an Easter and Christmas program for the congregation to enjoy each year. All are welcome! We hope to see your children next Sunday morning!
This year's program is Worship KidStyle. This curriculum brings "Bible stories and the day's truth to life in ways kids will understand. Focusing on who God is, what the church is, and ways kids can apply vital lessons to their lives, school age children will watch attention-holding life application videos that speak to them and show them how God’s Word relates to their lives today!"
CIA YOUTH Wednesdays 5:30PM (September-May)
Youth in grades 7 - 12 meet Wednesday evenings 5:30-6:30 pm during the school year.
Join us Wednesday nights for a time of fun, games, and devotion! We try to plan one fun main event each month with regularly scheduled bible study style weekly sessions in between. In addition to our regular meetings, we also sell Christmas Wreaths and do other fundraising for our annual trip to Acquire the Fire in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
CONFIRMATION
Offered on alternate years for students in grades 7 - 8.
The three areas that we cover during confirmation include:
- Methodist Beliefs - What do we really believe?
- Methodist History - Where did we come from?
- Methodist Structure - How does the church function?

Welcome to Oakes Methodist Church.
In-person worship is at 9 am on Sunday each week. We celebrate the Lord’s Supper on the first Sunday of each month, everyone is welcome. You can also join us live on-line through our church Facebook page or on Youtube.
Our mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ and to grow in our faith so that our community and the world will see the love and grace of Jesus Christ in and through us. We welcome you to come and worship with us.
